J: Similar to I color grade but with a slightly more fiery tint.
I: Contains a small trace of color but typically appears almost colorless to the naked
& untrained eye.
H: Very small level of color trace when compared to “Colorless” diamonds but will
hold a great value and reflect great brilliance.
G: The highest color of the “Near Colorless” group with very slightly noticeable trace

I1: Contains inclusions such as large feathers or large included crystals that are
obvious under 10x magnification and the naked eye. Often, such diamonds will be
less transparent and less brilliant.
SI3: Contains inclusions such as clouds, crystals, knots, cavities and feathers that can
be noticeable with 10x magnification and in some and by the naked eye.
SI2: Contains inclusions such as clouds, crystals, knots, cavities and feathers that can
be noticeable with 10x magnification and in some cases by the naked eye.
SI1: Contains inclusions such as clouds, crystals, knots, cavities and feathers
noticeable normally only with 10x magnification.
VS2: Similar to VS1, possesses very small inclusions that may only be seen with
difficulty under 10x magnification.
VS1: Contains minute inclusions such as small crystals, clouds, or feathers, when
observed with effort under 10x magnification.
VVS2: Contains minute, very small inclusions at a small level more than VVS1. Yet
extremely difficult to detect other than by a trained gemologist under a specific
magnification of 10x or more.
VVS1: Contains minute, very small inclusions that are extremely difficult to detect
other than by a trained gemologist under a specific magnification of 10x or more.
IF: Flawless. Shows no inclusions or blemishes of any sort under 10X magnification
even when observed by experienced grader.
